Nonlocal and Higher Order Dispersive Equations

Nonlinear dispersive equations are omnipresent in applications, predominantly in the theory of water waves, nonlinear optics and quantum physics. In recent years there has been a renewed focus on such equations with nonlocality and higher order dispersion. Considerable progress in the analytical understanding and the numerical treatment has been achieved. This session aims to provide an overview over recent developments in the application of such equations and their numerical resolution.
